Gujarat Vidyapith Overview
Gujarat Vidyapith is an Indian deemed university in Ahmedabad. Mahatma Gandhi, the leader of the Indian freedom movement, founded it in 1920, and it was designated as a university in 1963. The Vidyapith was recognized as a deemed university by the Indian government in 1963, and it is now one of the national institutions dedicated to promoting Gandhiji’s ideas of service-oriented education. Gujarat Vidyapith’s main campus, which spans 21 acres, is located on Ahmedabad’s Ashram Road. It was founded in the wake of the Non-Cooperative Movement as Rashtriya Vidyapith (National Institute of University Education). Mahatma Gandhi remained the Kulpati for the rest of his life (Chancellor). The Institute offers higher education through an integrated system of instruction that spans kindergarten through doctoral studies. The fundamental goal is to equip people of good character, ability, culture, and passion to lead movements related to the country’s regeneration in accordance with Mahatma Gandhi’s ideas.
Gujarat Vidyapith is a deemed university recognised by the University Grants Commission. Undergraduate programmes include BPES, B.A., B.Ed., B.Sc., B.P.Ed., and B.Lib.I.Sc. etc. Postgraduate programmes include M.P.Ed., M.A., M.Lib.I.Sc., M.P.Ed., MSW, MCA, M.Sc., and MBA. M.Phil., Ph.D., PGD, and Certificate programmes are also available at the university. Gujarat Vidyapith’s Peace Research Centre offers distance education programmes. It currently offers M.A., M.Phil., and Ph.D. programmes in Gandhian philosophy and peace research. Through distance learning, the university provides a Certificate in Music, Arts, and Craft, as well as Diploma courses in Yoga, Computer Application, Hardware, and Network Technology, and Philosophy and Social Sciences. The Centre hosts a number of workshops and seminars on Gandhian ideas in the fields of economics, political science, education, sociology, and journalism.

Admission Procedure Of Gujarat Vidyapith
Applications can be filled out online or offline. Candidates can either submit the application form directly to the university or submit the form online. Applicants must upload all required documents and pay the applicable fee. To fill out the application form online, the candidate must go to the official website. For offline process, the application form can be downloaded, duly filled out, and submitted with all required documents and fees to the University’s administrative office via (DD).

Eligibility Criteria Of Gujarat Vidyapith
Admission to these programs is done directly through the University. Candidates for UG programmes are chosen according to their merit. Students interested in programmes such as B.Ed. Hindi must take the university’s admissions test. For MCA, MBA, PG Programmes, entrance exam is conducted by the University. Candidates for the M.Phil. and Ph.D. programmes must additionally take an entrance exam.
