Dravidian University Overview
Dravidian University has received NAAC accreditation with a B grade and is recognised by the UGC. It is a public university that was founded in 1997.This institution, which was established jointly for the development of Dravidian languages, has provided a chance to individuals who are unable to pursue higher education through traditional means.
Dravidian University’s Directorate of Remote Education was created in 2008 in Andhra Pradesh’s Chittoor District to provide superior remote education. Dravidian University, DDE (Directorate of Distance Education) provides graduate and postgraduate courses in the faculties of arts, commerce, science, and management. The institution has 30 academic departments and four centres.
DDE provides undergraduate courses such as B.A., BBA, B.Com., B.Lib., BCA, and B.Sc., as well as graduate programmes such as M.Com., M.A., MBA, MCA, M.Sc., M. Lib, and PG Diploma. Admission to all of these programmes is based on the students’ achievement in the qualifying examinations.

Admission Procedure Of Dravidian University
Candidates can apply online or offline for admission to UG/PG/Diploma/Certificate programmes offered by Dravidian University.
- If the student desires to apply for admission online, please visit the university’s official website and fill out all needed information in the application form.
- If an applicant chooses to apply for admission offline, the form can be downloaded for university’s official website and send it to the university’s address by post. Candidates in their last years of UG degrees may also apply.
Admission to various DDE courses is dependent on the grades achieved in the most recent qualifying test. There will be no separate entrance exams for the various undergraduate, postgraduate, or PG degrees. Admission to all courses is accessible to all Indian nationals. Aspirants working with private, central, or state government institution may also apply for DDE courses.
Steps to Apply online:
- Login to the official website’s using the OTP sent on your provided mobile number.
- Click on “Student Registration”, Select the entry type, and fill out the form by entering all the required information.
- Pay the application fee in order to complete the application process.
Steps to Apply offline:
- Download the application form from the DDE’s official website or the application form and prospectus can also be obtained through the DDE Dravidian University office or one of the DDE Study Centres.
- Application fee can be paid by DD, addressing to the Director, DDE, Dravidian University.
- Application form along with the required documents can be send by post to the DDE, Dravidian University Official address.

Ans. Candidates who ceased or defaulted on tuition fee payment during the academic year may apply for re-admission by submitting an application in the required proforma. A fee of INR 500 is required for registration and re-admission.

Ans. Dravidian University offers several scholarships that includes Fellowship for Junior Researchers
National Fellowship Rajiv Gandhi, Meritorious Fellowship in Science, Fellowships in Telugu Wordnet and ILCI. In addition, the Dravidian University awards scholarships to students who finish first, second, or third in the university’s Ph. D. Entrance Exam (full time). The top-scoring students receive a scholarship of 1200 rupees for a three-year period.
