TISS also known as Tata Institute of Social Sciences and was established in the year of 1936. The institute was formerly known as the Sir Dorabji Tata Graduate School of Social Work. The main campus if TISS institute is situated in Mumbai along with the three campuses like – TISS Guwahati, TISS Hyderabad, & TISS Tuljapur. TISS Mumbai also comprises two campuses such as- the Malti and Jal A.D and the Main Campus. Where the Naoroji Campus Annexe is located in Deonar in North-East Section of the Greater Mumbai. This institute aims the institution of excellence which offers higher education that continually responds to changing social realities.

Admission Process of Tata Institute of Social Sciences
The TISS University offers various job-oriented programs for the distance learners. TISS is also known as its distance education courses offered to make its education equal for all. The main aim to this institute is to impart quality education for every class of people through the various UG and PG level distance education.
MA Course: Applicants who want to apply for the admission into MA course. Only those applicants can get admission in this course who should have completed their Bachelor’s Degree in the relevant discipline from the recognized University only those are eligible to get admission in this course.
PG Diploma: If any student wish to take admission in the PG Diploma course, then they should have passed Bachelor’s degree, or any equivalent degree in the relevant discipline from the recognized University wll be eligible to apply to take admission in PG Diploma course.
Admission will be done on the basis of Entrance Test, once the entrance test conducted then applicants also need to appear in GD, and Personal Interview.
