Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) is a Central University that was founded in 1998. Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, India’s first Minister of Education, a freedom fighter during the independence era, and a scholar of Islam and Urdu language, is the name given to it. It was established with the goal of promoting and developing the Urdu language in order to provide vocational and technical education and training in Urdu. This opens up more opportunities for those who want to pursue further education and training in Urdu.

 

This institute is composed of seven schools, each with 24 departments that provide master’s degrees, MPhil and PhD research programmes. MANUU’s Lucknow location accepts applications for MA programmes in Urdu, Arabic, Persian, and English. In Hyderabad, Bangalore, and Darbhanga, it has created three polytechnic institutions. It also provides a variety of academic programmes via remote learning.

It is the country’s largest institution for offering higher educational services to students who are deprived of education in distant parts of the country through traditional and distance-based programmes in Urdu language education. Currently, the University provides 97 regular and remote courses, 25 PhD programmes, 27 PG programmes, 15 UG programmes, 2 PG Diploma, 19 Diploma programmes, including technical diploma programmes via Polytechnics, and 9 certificate programmes. It also has Industrial Training Institutes that provide vocational training (8 Certificate Trades).

 

The Directorate of Distance Education, Maulana Azad National Urdu University, Hyderabad, Telangana, is a charitable institution that has provided education to thousands of disadvantaged Urdu-speaking people in India. Since its inception in 1998, the organisation has grown to include nine Regional Centres and five Sub-Regional Centres spread across India. They help students academically through 161 Study Centres that operate under the administrative umbrella of these RCs and SRCs. The Institute has received an ‘A’ rating from NAAC twice, and Outlook – ICARE rankings 2020 ranked the university as India’s 24th best central university. Currently, the DDE (Distance Education) at the University provides five undergraduate and six postgraduate courses, as well as two diploma and certificate programmes. Admission to any of the courses is done through an online application procedure. The admissions process for each programme is based on merit and entrance exams.

Admission Procedure Of Maulana Azad National Urdu University

Steps to Apply:

  • Candidates must register and apply before the application deadline.
  • They must fill out all pertinent information and upload all required papers during registration.
  • After completing all of the fields, a confirmation email with the Registration Id and Password will be sent to the registered email address.

Online admissions are available at Maulana Azad National Urdu University’s Directorate of Distance Education. To apply for any of their programmes, individuals must login to the official website. Except for the B. Ed. and MA Arabic courses, admission to all distance mode courses is based on merit.

 

Steps to Apply:

 

  • Visit MANUU – DDE’s (Directorate Distance Education) official website to access the Admissions portal.
  • Candidates must go to the website and click on the ‘Admission Portal’ option.
  • They will then be required to register on the portal.
  • The login credentials for the applicant, such as username and password, will be produced and sent to them through email or SMS.
  • The candidate will next be required to log onto their Admission Portal profiles.
  • The candidate must complete the application form completely and properly.
  • Identity evidence, academic credentials, passport-sized photos, and signatures, among other papers, must be scanned and submitted.
  • The candidate must choose the Regional Center and Learner Support Center that are closest to them.
  • Send the completed application form together with the scanned and uploaded papers.
