It created 29 research centres to encourage advanced transdisciplinary research and academic collaborations. PhD programmes are available in all faculties of the university. The University’s research profile includes 62 projects funded by various funding agencies, including the Department of Science and Technology (DST), the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), the UGC, the Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), the ICHR, the ICSSR, the Vision Group on Science and Technology (VGST), the Government of Karnataka, and the British Council, among others.
