IIM Jammu Online MBA Program

Introduction 

Indian Institute of Management Jammu (IIM Jammu) is one of the newly established IIMs with a vision to provide quality management education with an emphasis on innovation, leadership, and social responsibility. IIM Jammu serves the working executives and professionals who need flexibility without the cost of compromising the quality of education and provides an Executive MBA (eMBA) program in blended mode with online learning and classroom learning. This program aims to create managerial skills, leadership, and strategic management to equip participants with senior-level skills in a changing business environment. 

About the Program 

The Programme The Executive MBA in Business Administration (eMBA) program aims to prepare future executives for their roles in the business world by providing a comprehensive program that will suit middle-career and senior professionals of all disciplines, who work in industry, government, NGOs, armed forces and entrepreneurship. This is a 2-year program (6 trimesters), with a total load of 78 credits (72 course credits and 6 credits for homework) and covers approximately 900 learning hours. 

One of the salient aspects of this program is the blended mode; that is, the online classes are integrated with on-campus modules to afford a flexible and interactive learning experience. Furthermore, each term will have 6-day on-campus visits; notably, the participants can pursue experiential learning exercises and networking opportunities. The campus immersion is crucial in providing a thrilling learning experience that offers practical insights and applications of the taught concepts. 

The eMBA programme also concentrates on core competencies, such as decision-making, analytical, leadership and managerial skills against international standards. The strong focus on these core areas supports participants to respond to complex business challenges and contribute to strategic business decision-making in their organisations and further develop their potential career opportunities and career advancement.

Who Can Apply? 

• Educational Qualification: The candidate should hold a Bachelor's degree or equivalent having marks not less than 50% in aggregate (45% in case of reserved category) from a UGC/AICTE recognized University/institution. 

• Experience: Minimum 3 years of full time experience as on date of application closure. 

• Entrance Test: Candidate should have valid scores of CAT, GMAT, GRE, or valid score of IIM Jammu's own entrance test (IIMJAT). 

• Personal Interview: After the application screening process, the shortlisted candidates have to appear for an online personal interview. 

• Age: No age limit. 

Online Course Fee 

• Program Fee: Around ₹11.12 Lakhs for the entire two years. 

• Fee Structure:  

• Tuition Fee: ₹7.28 Lakhs 

• Hostel Fee: ₹73,500 (if you take accommodation on the campus) 

• Miscellaneous and Alumni Fees included within semester-wise payments. 

• Semester wise payment: six payments across the semesters, between ₹1.8-2 Lakhs per semester.  

• Additional fees: Global immersion fee (as applicable) and personal expenses while on campus. 

EMI and Education Loan Facilities 

• EMI Options are extremely lucrative payment facility provided to students under cooperative arrangements with various financial institutions. The facility enables students to pay their fees in a convenient and hassle-free way. In addition, education loans are easily procurable from leading banks and Non-Banking Financial Companies (NBFCs). IIM Jammu simplifies the loan process by providing facilitation of documentation and formalities of processing to students, thereby making it convenient for them to access finance for studies. 

• Apart from that, provision of scholarships is another form of funding assistance for the students, with some merit and deserving need-based scholarships being provided. The scholarships are only for reserved categories and meritorious students to enable them to study without any financial burden. Admission Process 

1. Online Application: 
   Fill out the application form on the official IIM Jammu website and upload required documents. 

2. Entrance Test: 
   Appear for IIMJAT or submit valid CAT/GMAT/GRE scores. 

3. Shortlisting: 
   Based on entrance test scores, academic record, work experience, and diversity factors. 

4. Personal Interview: 
   Conducted online for shortlisted candidates. 

5. Final Selection: 
   Based on composite scores including test, interview, academic performance, and work experience. 

6. Fee Payment: 
   Pay the first installment to confirm admission. 

7. Program Start: 
   Access the online learning platform and attend the first term. 

Admission Intakes: Twice a year — July/August and January/February. 

Examination Pattern 

• Mode: Online proctored exams through IIM Jammu’s LMS. 

• Assessment: Continuous evaluation via assignments, quizzes, case studies, projects, presentations, and end-term exams. 

• Campus Immersion: On-campus assessments during 6-day immersion modules.
