India Post GDS Recruitment 2026

The Department of Posts, Government of India, has officially announced one of the biggest government job drives of the year. Under the India Post Gramin Dak Sevak( GDS) Reclamation 2026, a total of  28,635 posts have been released for eligible campaigners. These jobs are for Gramin Dak Sevak( GDS)  places, including Branch Postmaster( BPM) and Assistant Branch Postmaster( ABPM). 

This reclamation is a very big chance ,which is especially for campaigners who have completed their 10th standard and want to start a stable government career in the postal department.

Please note that applying after the last date won't be accepted. 

 Eligibility Criteria 

Campaigners must meet the following conditions 

Education 

• Must have passed Class 10th (Matric) from a recognised board. 
• Passing marks in Mathematics and English are needed. 
• Should have studied the original language of the postal circle where you're applying. 

Age 

• Minimal Age 18 years 
• Maximum Age 40 years 
• Age relaxation is granted to reserved orders, such as SC, ST, OBC, and PwBD, as per government rules. 

Application fees ( What You Pay) 

Campaigners must pay the  application fees ( if applicable) as follows 

• category fee 
• General/ OBC/ EWS ₹ 100 
• SC ST/ PwBD/ Female campaigners Transgender No fee ( Exempted) 
•  Make sure to pay the fee before the deadline( 16 February 2026). 

How to Apply Online 

Interested and eligible  campaigners must follow these simple ways to complete their application  

• Visit the  official portal indiapostgdsonline.gov.in 
• Click on “ Registration ” and complete your introductory details. 
• Log in using your credentials. 
• Choose the Postal Circle where you want to apply. 
• Upload needed documents (marksheet, photo, signature, etc.). 
• Pay the application fee (if applicable). 
• Review the form and submit it before the last date. 

Selection Process – No Written test! 

One of the biggest advantages of this reclamation is that no spoken test or interview will be conducted. The selection is based only on class 10 marks (merit list). 

Then’s how the process works 

• Merit list is prepared using your 10th standard marks. 
• Advanced marks increase your chance of selection. 
• After this,  named campaigners will be called for document verification. 
• Final appointment will be given after verification. 

Pay Scale and Benefits 

named campaigners will get regular payment under the Time Related Continuity  Allowance (TRCA) system. 

• Branch Postmaster (BPM) ₹  12,000 – ₹  29,380 per month 
• Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM) Dak Sevak ₹  10,000 – ₹  24,470 per month 

Along with yearly income,  workers may admit other allowances based on duty and position.
