The Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) has officially announced the Haryana Police Constable Recruitment 2026 drive,which offering a major chance for youth across the state. This reclamation aims to fill  5,500 Constable positions in the Haryana Police Department, including both general duty and Government Railway Police (GRP) posts. But , due to a high number of aspirants and to give further time to eligible campaigners, the commission extended the last date for submission of online forms to 31 January 2026

This extension also came with a one- time age relaxation, allowing some applicants who had preliminarily exceeded the age limit to apply for the post. The extended deadline has given a fresh chance to many who were preparing for this reclamation. 

Applicants must be sure that they complete their forms and upload the necessary documents before 11:59 PM on 31 January 2026. 

Vacancy Breakdown & categories 

The total  5,500 vacancies are divided into multiple  categories based on gender and departmental conditions 

  • Male Constable (General Duty) 4,500 posts 
  • Female Constable (General Duty) 600 posts 
  • Male Constable (Government Railway Police – GRP) 400 posts 

This blend ensures a balanced reclamation that supports both regular policing duties and specialised railway policing responsibilities.
The detailed category-wise distribution includes allocations for General, OBC, EWS, and ESM, in agreement with the Haryana government reservation norms. 

Eligibility Criteria 
Campaigners must meet several  crucial eligibility conditions 
Campaigners should have passed Class 12 (10+2) from a honored board or original examination. Also, aspirants must have studied Hindi or Sanskrit up to the Matric position. 

HSSC CET Group C Qualification 
Only campaigners who have qualified in the HSSC Common Eligibility Test (CET) for Group C are eligible to apply for these constable posts. 

Age Limit 
The minimal age demand is 18 years, and the upper age limit is 25 years as of 1 January 2026. Still, age relaxation is available as per government rules for campaigners belonging to certain categories and ex-servicemen.

Physical norms 

In addition to education and age criteria,  campaigners must meet certain physical dimension norms( height,  chest, etc.) and successfully pass physical efficiency tests to be considered for final selection. These norms are easily outlined in the official reclamation announcement issued by HSSC. 

Selection Process 

The selection of  campaigners for the Haryana Police Constable posts includes multiple stages, designed to ensure merit, capability, and fitness 

  • HSSC Common Eligibility Test (CET) Score – The primary eligibility and merit criterion. 
  • Physical Measurement Test (PMT) – Measures height,  chest ( for male campaigners), and other needed physical parameters. 
  • Physical Standard  Test (PST) – A physical fitness test including handling and other tasks to check the endurance and agility of campaigners. 
  • Written Examination – To assess knowledge, aptitude,  logic, and other academic capacities. 
  • Document Verification and Medical Examination – Make sure all campaigners meet the eligibility criteria and are medically fit for duty. 

Only those who clear all stages successfully will be considered for appointment as police constable

The final merit list is prepared based on performance in these stages, combined with applicable weightage for reserved categories. 

Application fee & Process 

One of the biggest advantages of this reclamation is that there's no application fee for any order — General, SC, ST, OBC, EWS, or PwD.

To apply online,  applicants must visit the official HSSC website (hryssc.in), register themselves, upload their documents (educational certificates, CET scorecards, identity proofs, etc.)
They are prompted to upload only correct and valid documents, as any distinction may lead to disqualification at the time of document verification.

Successful campaigners named as Haryana Police Constables will admit a yearly payment starting at ₹21,700 (position- 3, Cell- 1) plus allowances.
