Bihar BTSC JE Recruitment 2026 [2809 Post] Apply Online

The Bihar Technical Service Commission( BTSC) has announced one of its largest reclamations for the year 2026, inviting eligible campaigners to apply online for the post of Junior Engineer( JE). A total of  2,809  vacancies have been released,  furnishing a promising opportunity for youth to join government vacancies in the state. This reclamation drive covers three engineering aqueducts — Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical and aims to fill vital specialised positions across Bihar. 

This year's BTSC JE Recruitment has recently attracted attention from the job applicants throughout Bihar and neighbouring states due to its high number of posts and secure government job prospects. This application window was originally open till the 12 January 2026, but it will consider the specialised issues faced by many aspirants, the enrollment date has been extended, and the online application can now be submitted up to 30 January 2026 through the official portal. 

Vacancy Details 
The reclamation includes a total of  2,809 Junior Engineer positions across multiple disciplines 

1. Civil Engineering – 2653 Posts 
2. Mechanical Engineering – 70 Posts 
3. Electrical Engineering – 86 Posts 
4. These posts are distributed across colourful departments under the Bihar state government, where specialised work is essential.

Who Can Apply – Eligibility Criteria 
Educational Qualification :
Campaigners should have completed a three ‑ year Diploma in Engineering in the applicable stream( Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical) from a recognised board or institution. Warrants should be regular( full ‑ year ) and awarded by recognised authorities. 

Age Limit:
The minimum age is 18 years, and for general category campaigners, the maximum age is 37 years as of the specified cut ‑ off date. Reserved order campaigners similar as SC, ST, OBC, EBC, women, and other eligible groups, are handed age relaxation as per the government rules. 

Nationality:
Only Indian citizens are eligible to apply for this reclamation. 

Application fee:
There's a nominal application fee of ₹ 100 for all categories. The payment must be made online using debit cards, credit cards, net banking, or UPI.
Campaigners are advised to save the payment damage after the online sale. 

Selection Process 
The BTSC JE Reclamation selection consists of multiple stages to  ensure only  good  campaigners are  named :

Written Examination: Aspirants must sit for a written test conducted by the Bihar Technical Service Commission. The test is designed to assess specialised knowledge and understanding of the applicable engineering discipline. 

Document Verification: Those who qualify for the written test will be called for document verification to confirm eligibility, qualifications, and certificates. 

Medical Examination: Final named campaigners must undergo a medical check-up to ensure they're physically fit for the job. 

Pay Scale and Job Location 
Junior Engineers will be paid according to the Level ‑ 7 pay matrix, which generally ranges from ₹ 9,300 to ₹ 34,800 (approx) per month, with a grade pay of ₹  4,600( exact payment and allowances may vary as per government  morals). The work locales will be within different departments and sections of Bihar.
