To provide quality of education to young minds in science and technology, SKCET Engineering College was established in the year 1998 in Coimbatore Tamil Nadu. SKCET has been accredited by NAAC and UGC with A grade in 2015, and its courses are approved by AICTE. It has achieved excellence in academics for consistently securing good academic result. The institution has experienced and highly qualified teaching and non-teaching staff. Students are placed in top MNCs every year with good package. It has a state-of-the-art infrastructure well equipped with all modern facilities.

Admissions

Details about admission procedure are given below:-

1.Registration:-

  • Candidate has to 1stget registered in the given link with the instruction mentioned in the page. http://www.skcet.ac.in/procedure.html.
  • Candidate need to register their email and personal phone Number for all details.

2. Payment of Counseling Fees:-

  • General/ OBC students need to pay Rs.500 as registration fee.
  • SC/ ST students need to pay Rs.200 as registration fee.

3. Fill up Personal details:-

Candidate need to fill all the required information like name, father’s name, nationality, qualifying marks, marital status and exam board details.

4. Submission of Registration form:-

Candidate need to verify all the details before final submission of form.

5. Allotment of Registration Number:-

After registration a unique registration number is given to every candidate for future reference.

6. Document Verification:-

  • Candidate must carry these documents during the time of counseling.
    • High School Marksheet
    • Senior secondary Marksheet
    • TC from last school/institute attained
    • Nativity Certificate
    • Category Certificate
    • Photo Identity proof like Aadhaar, Election ID or Driving license.
  • Candidate’s documents/ certificates must be verified by the university through online mode.

7. Final List for Counseling:-

  • The admission board of the college prepares a merit list.
  • Older Candidate gets more preferences.
  • Candidate with high academic score get more preferences in the list.

8.Counselling:-

  • Based on merit list sequence students need to participate in counseling organized by TNEA facilitation center.
  • Candidate also needs to submit a fee of Rs 5000 for General and Rs 1000 for SC/ ST for admission purpose.
  • All the interested candidates need to update their choices for getting a seat.
  • There is chance of multiple counseling and students have to update their choices every time.

9.Final Process of Seat allotment:-

The results will be declared after counseling and selected students may participate for further admission process

AICTE has approved 15% extra seats for foreign nationals/ PIO/ NRI/ students whose parents work in Gulf countries over and above the sanctioned intake.

Passed intermediate examination of Tamil Nadu Board or 10 + 2 level examination or its equivalent from any recognized Board/ University with English as one of the languages and must have obtained 45% of marks in aggregate in Physics and Mathematics along with Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Computer Science/ Electronics/ Biology. In case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and other Backward Classes, the minimum marks for eligibility will be 40% of marks in aggregate and in the qualifying examination’s optional subjects.

Admission to M. Tech course shall be open to candidates who have passed the prescribed qualifying examination (B. E./ B. Tech) as specified with not less than  45% marks in aggregate of all the semesters/ years of the degree examination. (Cumulative sum of secured marks of all the semesters/ years divided by the sum of maximum marks). However, in case of candidates SC/ ST, aggregate marks shall not be less than 40%.

OR

Final year students can even apply for the same and get admission on provisional basis, but the authority has full right to cancel the admission if they fail to submit the required document.

Admission to MBA course shall be open for the candidates who have passed the bachelor’s degree from a recognized university with not less than 45% of the marks in aggregate of all the years of the degree examination. However, in case of candidates belonging to SC/ ST and Category-1, the aggregate percent of the marks of all the years of the qualifying examination shall not be less than 40%.
