Study abroad: ETS announces new scholarship for Indian students aiming to study in the UK

This scholarship, which is a part of the festivities for India@75, ETS@75, and India-UK connections, is intended to help 25 Indian scholars who want to enroll in undergraduate or graduate programs in UK universities.
The National Indian Students and Alumni Union (NISAU) and ETS, a company that conducts educational testing and assessments, have teamed up to introduce the “UK-India TOEFL Scholarship.” These scholarships are intended to provide financial support for a variety of college-related expenses, including tuition, books, lodging deposits, and transportation, among others. The scholarship recipients will be chosen by a committee made up of representatives from NISAU, UK university administrators, and business organizations. May 31st, 2023 is the last day for Indian students to submit their scholarship applications.
The scholarship will assist 25 Indian scholars who want to pursue their undergraduate or postgraduate studies at a UK university as part of the India@75, ETS@75, and India-UK connections festivities. According to the organization, each chosen applicant will receive a scholarship worth Rs 2.4 lac, for a total value of $75,000 (Rs 60 lakh).
“With the help of ETS, we are able to provide 25 young Indians with scholarships totaling $75,000 in the hopes that they will become tomorrow’s changemakers. We are thrilled to be able to do our small part to help eliminate the inequality that frequently prevents the finest and brightest children from receiving a top-notch UK education. According to Sanam Arora, commissioner for the international higher education commission of the UK and chair of NISAU.
In order to be considered for the scholarship, candidates must submit their TOEFL test results, a 500-word essay on “Creating a Social Impact with a UK-based Education,” as well as a resume detailing their academic and personal accomplishments.
