Registration for GATE 2024 is still open tomorrow without a late fee

The Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore, which is organising the entrance examination this year, received over 1,37,000 applications on September 29, the original deadline, and thus decided to extend the registration deadline without charging a late fee. However, the registration deadline with a late charge is October 13.

To register for GATE 2024, candidates from the reserved category and women candidates must pay Rs 900, while candidates from all other categories must pay Rs 1,800.

Fees can be paid by credit card, debit card, net banking, EMI, purse, or UPI. According to a post on X, approximately 78 percent of the candidates used UPI to pay the application fee.

Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL) recently informed the institute that the GATE 2024 score will be used to recruit executive trainees in six engineering disciplines including Chemical, Civil, Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation and Mechanical.

GATE 2024 application form review started on September 30 and will be completed by October 31. Candidates whose application forms do not meet the requirements for a photograph, signature, photo ID, category certificates, and so on will be marked “defective.” Students will be given the chance to correct the errors before the application is considered further.
