The Dean of Delhi University, Haneet Gandhi said that recently the University will launch its CSAS i.e. Common Seat Allocation System Portal within a week.

 

Once the portal has been launched then applicants can register themselves for ample time. The authority will them around three weeks to apply, as Gandhi added in his statement. The university’s Vice-Chancellor Yogesh Singh told PTI last Thursday that the portal would start as soon as possible.

 

As per the issued notice by Delhi University, students must ensure that their documents or certificate are in ready format by 31, August 2022.

 

Important Documents requirement

Important Documents included Class X and XII mark sheets and certificates, caste certificate for ST/ SC/ OBC/ EWS/ NCL/ KM/ CW/ Minority/ PWBD categories, if any OBC- Non- Creamy Layer Certificate, Income Certificate, if applicable; and Christian/ Sikh minority certificate, if applicable; EWS certificate, if applicable; Educational Concession certificate for Widows/ Children of personnel of Armed Forces category; Benchmark Disability Certificate for the persons who with disability and another relevant certificate for other quotas such as ECA (Extra Curricular Activities), Sports and others.

 

For reserved categories, the name of the applicant as well as the name of their parents should be matched with the names in the corresponding certificate for reservation. OBC applicants also need to see if their caste is the part of OBC central list. As per the notice, an income certificate must be required for both EWS and OBC categories.

What is Common Seat Allocation System Portal?

The CSAS portal will form a critical part of admissions at the Delhi Univerity affiliated institutes. the process will take place in three phases. Applicants must have to register themselves through the CSAS 2022 application form once the portal is launched and also need to pay nonrefundable fees.

 

The second phase will also start once the CUET (Common University Entrance Test) result is declared. If applicants are eligible for their respective courses then they will be able to choose their program and institute combinations as they prefer. The university also advised that applicants can choose multiple programs and colleges as per their preference. Once the choice filling is submitted then no changes will be allowed.

 

The UGC chairmen told that The result of the CUET exam will be declared soon within ten days.

 

Apart from this, the third phase of seat allotment will take place in multiple rounds. Once the merit list is declared, applicants must have to check their seat and college allotment on the common admission system portal.
