The process of correction in Application formfor Aligarh Muslim University has been started. There are many PG and UG programs, diploma and doctoral level programs offered by AMU. Aligarh Muslim University was founded in 1920 that provides qualitative education in many fields to the candidates. There are some important information related to AMU 2021 application, examination dates, eligibility criteria, examination pattern, syllabus, etc.:

Application Form for AMU 2021

Below are the details regarding the application form of Aligarh Muslim University.

  • The application form was available online on the website of Aligarh university.
  • The application form of every course was separate and the students and applicants filled the application form of different courses individually. However the courses that had a combined entrance test was applicable through a single form only.
  • The applicantswere required to register before applying for the course and share e-mail address and contact details.
  • Students were not allowed to fill multiple forms as it would havelead to the rejection of the respective candidate.
  • 8th July, 2021was the last date for applying for the B.Tech. admission.
  • It was required to fill the accurate information by the applicant; there was no provision of editing the details after filled once.
  • The candidates were rejected who filled wrong or Incomplete details, wrong format, unpaid fee or late fee submission.
  • Applicants were required to have a hard copy of the application form and payment receipt.

B.Tech./BA LLB and MBA/MBA(IB)




Payment Mode: The payment of the fee was done by using debit/credit card, net banking. The facility for the offline payment through bank challan method was also available. The applicant submitted the challan of Canara Bank, ICICI Bank or through the demand draft (DD) drawn in the favor of “Finance Officer” payable at Aligarh.

Eligibility criteria for Aligarh Muslim University

  • B.Com. (Hons.)

The applicant should have cleared 12th level from commerce as a mandatory subject from a recognized board.

The applicant should have scored minimum 55% marks in the qualifying exam.

The candidate should have passed subjects of Accounts and English, along with any two subjects among- Business Studies, Economics, Commerce, Business Organization, and Banking, mathematics, statistics or entrepreneurship.


  • B.Tech.

The candidate should have cleared 10+2 level examination with English, math, physics and chemistry as mandatory subjects with a recognized board.

The applicant should have scored at least 50% marks in qualifying examination.

The applicant should be passed in all the mandatory subjects like Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, English.


  • B.A. (Hons.)

The applicant should have passed 10+2 level examination with English as a mandatory subject with at least 50% marks.

The applicant should be passed in the main subjects in 12th standard.


  • MBA

The candidate should have a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university with at least 50% marks.


  • M.Com.

The applicant should have bachelor’s degree in commerce with Honors from a recognized university. The candidate should have at least 55% marks in qualifying examination.

Aligarh Muslim University Syllabus

For B.Tech. Program:  The syllabus of B.Tech. includes the questions from Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry studied in 11th class and 12th class.

For B.A (Hons.) Course: The syllabus of B.A (Hons.) includes the questions from English, Reasoning and Intelligence, Indo-Islamic Culture and Aligarh Movement, General Awareness and Current Affairs.

For MBA Course: The syllabus of MBA includes the questions from Data analysis & interpretation, Environmental awareness, Reasoning & intelligence, quantitative & numerical ability, comprehension & verbal ability.

Aligarh Muslim University Important Details

Exam Pattern:

  • The exam will be conducted offline on various dates.
  • Multiple type questions will be asked in the examinations.
  • 150 questions will be asked in the examination of B.Tech. and 100 questions will be asked for the examination of MBA.
  • Each question will be of 1 mark and the maximum marks will be accordingly.
  • The examination will be held for 3 hours.
  • There is negative marking as well. For every wrong answer, 0.25 marks will be subtracted.

Admit Card:

The applicants will be able to get admit card through official website of AMU only (online mode).The admit card will be provided by the AMU soon. Students are advised to visit official website for regular update.

Answer Key:

With the help of answer key, students will be able to get an idea regarding their marks in the examination. The answer key will be made available on the official website of AMU.


The students who scored the cut off marks of AMU will be able to continue for the next round. The cut off will be different according to the course.


The result date of AMU is expected to be declared soon on the website only. The students will log in to the official website of AMU for getting their result. The students will be notified regarding the further admission process after the result.


After the declaration of the result, AMU will conduct the counselling process. All the selected candidates are required to participate in this process. The information about the counselling will be given to the candidates via University Notice Board or via official website. It is required for all the candidates to carry necessary documents along with them for verification.
