An Application has been submitted in Supreme Court Seeking Cancellation of Patrachar/ Private/ Compartment exams for the students of class 12th.

A Petition has sought review of 22, June 2021 order had approved to cancel the regular class 12th exams and its timetable for objective assessment. The review petition has been filed by Advocate Mamta Sharma. 

The supreme court hearing pleas were regarding the cancellation of class 12th Physical exams. These exams were held in various states boards, higher secondary certificates, class 12 private compartments exams (CBSE), and even NIOS (National Institute of Open Schooling). But, the Supreme court dismissed the plea challenging the cancellation of these exams.

What Petition Seeks

In review Petition, a proposal to cancel the class 12th CBSE exams for Patrchar/ Private/ Compartment students.

The open court has been set up for hearing the questions based on laws that were not raised earlier before the court. 

While the Supreme Court approving the CBSE’s objective assessment scheme for the regular students of class 12th on 22, June the apex court observed the scheme provides an examination which will be going to be conduct in all compartment applicants as private candidates. The court decided that these examinations will be conducted between 15 August to 15 September and the result for these exams would be declared as soon as possible.

“The present Scheme provides that examination will be duly conducted in which all these candidates can appear as private candidates and such examination will be conducted between 15.08.2021 to 15.09.2021 and the results would be declared at the earliest so that even these students would be in a position to pursue their further education if they so desire. As is stated in Clause 29 of the C.B.S.E. Scheme, it provides for this eventuality and, therefore, the apprehension entertained by Mr. Abhishek Chaudhary, learned counsel does not merit consideration”, the Supreme Court had observed in 22, June order

According to the above information, it may be noted that Clause 29 on the basis of evaluation policy about private and second compartment students, the state examination will be conducted when time is conducive to conduct the exams.

CBSE Class 12th Evaluation Criteria

CBSE submitted the class 12th evaluation criteria for declaration of result to the supreme court. Students can check detailed criteria on the official website of CBSE which is shared by CBSE on the basis of marks secured by the students in their 10, 11, and 12th class in ratios 30%, 30%, and 40%.

In the above notification, CBSE said “For Patrachar, second compartment and private students the exam will be conducted the boards when this situation becomes conductive.
