EXECUTIVE MBA (EMBA)

An Executive MBA, commonly known as EMBA is a post graduate level program which focuses on various aspects of business. It is similar to a full time MBA program with both programs emphasizes on delivering strict business courses and the degrees obtained at the completion of the program has equal value in the market. The difference between both the programs is its course structure and duration. An EMBA is mainly designed to impart the knowledge and skills to experienced working professionals such as managers, executives, entrepreneurs and other corporate leads who are willing to receive a degree while holding a full-time job. A full time MBA program, whereas, is for students with Bachelor’s degree and can dedicate most of the time in class studies instead of employed in a full-time job.

As the EMBA program is intended for working professionals, the class timings are kept flexible allowing the students to join classes in the evenings and on weekends. Class hours vary from B-schools to B-schools, but on an average students need to attend classes for 6-12 hours per week. ADMISSION ELIGIBILITY FOR EXECUTIVE MBA

  • Candidate are required to complete a Bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 years’ duration in any discipline with minimum 50% of marks from a recognized university.
  • Candidates usually have a work experience of ten years or more, and this varies for different institutes. Professionals in the mid-stage of their career generally opt for the program so as to increase their work choices. Some candidates also join the program to revise their knowledge and skills they have previously learnt.
