What is UPES DAT Exam?

UPES DAT (University of Petroleum & Energy Studies Design Aptitude Test) is a University Level entrance examination organized by UPES (University of Petroleum & Energy Studies). UPES DAT examination was organized to offer admission in UG (undergraduate) and PG (postgraduate) program in Design – B.Des (Bachelor of Design) and M.Des (Masters of Design. This examination was conducted once every year by UPES.

UPES DAT Eligibility Criteria

For B.Des (Bachelor of Design)

Aspirant must have cleared class 10^th and 12^th with minimum 50% aggregate with Physics, Chemistry and Maths from any recognized board. Or

You can also get admission to Bachelor of Design program without giving UPES DAT exam by fulfilling the mentioned below criteria:-
Aspirant must have cleared class 10^th and 12^th with minimum 65% aggregate. Or

Aspirant must have cleared class 10^th and 12^th with minimum 50% along with JEE MAIN or UCEED exam

For M. Des (Masters of Design)

Aspirant must have done graduation in B.Tech/BE in any discipline/BFA (4 years) or they should complete BArch/B.Des/ BSc in Design (3 years) including one year of foundation course of Applied Arts with at least 50% aggregate.
If aspirants have cleared the Common Entrance Examination for Design (CEED) then you can get admission in Masters of Design program without giving UPES DAT exam.
